The Genie app from NetGear is a safe, secure and easy way to control your home network and any associated services. You can use the app to monitor network activity, repair network problems and change router settings, all from the palm of your hand! You can access controls like the network map, parental Controls, guest access, MyMedia, traffic metering and more from any tablet or smartphone with an Android version greater than 4.2 (Jelly Bean). You can also use the Genie app to stream music and video files that you've set up to share. It can even manage connections with an easy QR code interface that lets you get online without messing around with SSIDs and passwords. It also has a special WiFi Analytics feature you can use to get insights about your network's performance.

The Genie app will only work if you're connected to your home network. It won't work from the guest network, a wireless repeater or over a data connection. It also doesn't support IPv6 right now, so you'll have to stick with an IPv4 configuration.
